Life in September

Well, I am back into dance and life after having a baby...trying to get the hang of being a mom of 2 and working and keeping my house clean... How do people do it! I can't quite figure it out. It is hard work and stressful at times... but I try to thing positive, that I'll make it through, eventually!
I have to say though, Owen is an angel. He really is so good. He gets quite gassy/fussy some times but he is a great baby. So peaceful and calm (which is the polar opposite of Lincoln!) We are finally over a month of thrush, Halelujah! But I am still feeding by pumping then bottle. It's hard work but he just doesn't eat well from the breast and I end up feeding him by bottle anyway. If anyone has suggestions, I would love to hear them. I want to keep breast feeding for the benefits for both of us...( I have quite a few lbs to get rid of!)
Anyway, he is a strong littl guy holding his head up so well, smiling a ton and "coo"ing here and there. When I took him to the dr on 9/9 he weighed 10.2 that's still .2 less than Lincoln weighed when he was born! It is crazy to think that Lincoln was that big when he was born! Crazy!
But Owen is such a blessing to have in our home. I think he is going to be our little peacemaker... He already has that effect on all of us!
Big Brother helping out.
Lincoln has been really good so far. Helps by being the garbage man for dirty diapers and bringing me things when I feed Owen. Sometimes we have to be careful cuz he can help out a little too much! The other day, Dan said he walked in and magically Owen was moved from the swing to the couch! Lincoln thought he help out... Dan about had a heart attack.

Lincoln and cousin Wyatt
Getting to play together a lot now that Tatum and I are trading babysitting each others kids. What a blessing! They are both learing to play together but have tons of fun!

First Day of Preschool
Lincoln started preschool on Tues/Thurs for 2 hours. His teachers are Miss Heidi & Miss Sicely. It is so fun to hear him come home and talk about things that happen at school. What a different feeling it is being on the other side of the classroom. I am now experiencing things I have never understood while being on the teacher side of things. The plan was just to get him into something to keep him stimulated because he was getting so bored a home. But he is learning so much and doing so well for not yet being 3 years-old. We are so proud of him!

What a sweet boy! Can you believe that kid can be a trouble maker?
Parenting...It has been a tough road so far with Lincoln's strong will. As I'm sure many of you understand. It is so hard learning how to disipline and teach your kids. I have struggled a lot lately with this. There are times I just have breakdowns because I am so tired of saying No and dealing with tantrums. Somedays, I think wow... he finally gets it, and we have a great day. But then the very next day he is worse then ever! I don't know how we all make it. How mothers make it through. But then I the good moments are like heaven on earth!
The other day Lincoln came in from the bathroom with no underwear on and the entire roll of toilet paper wadded up in his hands and before I could say anything, looked at me and said "Mom, would you not be angry?"
What a cute, sweet and funny guy he can be sometimes!
My exhausted, hard working husband fell asleep studying!
I had to take a picture. It was so funny yet sad too. He is the best! He literally works so hard every day, studies and gets extremely good grades, watches the kids so I can have "me" time, goes to the gym to stay in shape, fixes our house when we get water damage in our Bathroom, Hall and Kitchen and still finds time to do housework that I don't get around to doing!
I love him. I love him. I love him.
I love that he does this all for us so we can have a good life. I am thankful that he is willing to sacrifice things so that we can have a good life. He is a good man and he makes me wish I were a better woman!

Oh man, I'm not ready to have a toddler and a newborn! How wonderful to have Lincoln in preschool!! I bet those couple hours are so quiet and easy - relatively speaking.

Diddo to all that you just said. I don't know how Mom's do it. But, you are doing it and I'm doing it. Maybe not with a smile and good attitude all the time, but you are good Mommy and have way more patience than I do. I've seen you in action!!!
